The Taoth can bring the unique science ability to let you use the power of technology such as the Mana Bomb as well as more traditional magic.  They also use a blend of the two to create magic items such as the Plasma Staff and of course manipulate the game turn itself with the separate Time Magic.   This gives the Taoth a huge amount of auxiliary cards to support them in battle.  While the Lost World’s Sun Stone and Mask of the Stars give the Lizards great power and summon mighty beasts such as Quetzalcoatl
