The Defenders of Humanity. The Alliance is a balanced force. Where they do not have any big monsters of other races they instead have a flexible fighting force.
Various regiments of Pikemen, Swordsmen, Halberdiers keep your opponent at bay and you can use Crossbows and the Hellmouth to fire from range. But you have other options such as Priests to buff your other cards or Field Surgeons to keep others in the fight. Wizards cast magic spells while Pit Fighters use Killing Blow to take down much larger foes.
Leading the charge are units of Knights and Templers, supported by the Divine Knight himself or the massive battering ram that is the Wrathbringer.
At first the Orcs appear to be a smash mouth, very aggressive factions. And they are with Orcs, Trolls, Boar Riders and mighty Ogres using their size and power to crash through your opponent.
But there are other more devious troops. Goblins are weak but can overcome others by sheer numbers. Gremlins lay devious traps to take down much better cards and Shamans cast Orc magic on the battlefield.
Which tactics will you use? Power or cunning? Or maybe a mixture of both?
The ancient people of Aegyptus are as varied as the Gods that created them. You can take Aegyptus Priests to call the favour of the Gods to cause havoc to your opponents movement phase. Or how about taking Mummies for tough spellcasters. The Thoth Scholars use their knowledge to debuff your opponents cards.
But they have fighters as well. Necropolis Guard watch the pyramid tombs while huge Sobek Crocodiles can bit anything in half. Dangerous Giant Scorpions also prowl the battlefield.
An enigmatic selection of characters lead the race including Cleopatra, Rameses, Imhotep and even the might Pharaoh himself.
In the past a meteor hit the planet. Terrible enough but it carried something worse, the insectoid alien race known only as the Catastrophe cause terror wherever they go.
They are highly adaptable with some going under the earth itself like the Bore Worms. Or heavy hitters such as the Spiked Agony and Queens Guard or killers like the Silent Doom. But more scary might be the Mind Flayers and Soul Takers who lash enemies with psychic forces.
The Catastrophe have the Bio Evolution deck which allows you to adapt your cards with different powers such as extra teeth, wings or even a psychic shield to protect from magic attacks. Enjoy building your own monster.
The Dragons were the original apex race of the planet before the coming of the Gods. They come in lots of different varieties. Red Dragons are aggressive attackers, Blue Dragons breath lighting ranged attacks. The grotesque Green Dragons exude deadly Poison while White Dragons can heal others.
But there are more such as the magnificent Gold Dragons that charge into battle or the Fire Elemental who has allied with the Dragon race. But the Black Dragons are by far the biggest and strongest. But they once tried to usurp the Dragon race and are untrusted by others, causing debuffs to your own cards.
By far the strongest looking faction but they have no support cards at all so they will be very vulnerable in the magic phase.
